이사회는 2020년 올림픽 게임에 스포츠 프로그램에 포함될 후보종목에 합의했다. 후보종목은: 야구, 가라데, Roller Sports, 소프트볼, 스포츠클라이밍, 스쿼시, 웨이크보드 및 우슈이며 이 중 1 종목이 2020년 프로그램으로 선정되며 2013년 부에노스 아이레스 에서 열리는 125차 IOC회의에서 투표로 결정한다. 올림픽 프로그램에 최대 28개 스포츠가 들어갈 수 있다.

The EB also agreed on a shortlist of sports that will be considered for inclusion in the sports programme of the 2020 Games of the Olympiad. The sports are: baseball, karate, roller sports, softball, sports climbing, squash, wakeboard and wushu, one of which could be added to the 2020 Games sports programme to be voted on by the 125th IOC Session in Buenos Aires in 2013. The programme can include a maximum of 28 sports.
